Early life
Mark Calaway was born on March 24, 1965 in Houston Texas as one in five sons. During school and college, he intended to be a professional basketball player. He received a basketball scholarship and study sports management. However, he broke his studies and in 1984 he was employed as a wrestler at a world-class championship college. Between 1988 and 1990 he worked in a number of small wrestling promotions before finally moving to WWF at that time (now WWE).
Career
